Dr. Strangelove

In this time I have to analyze a movie in terms of Cinematographic form. It is the light, the lenses and the film stock. Also include the camera movement, the angles, and the point of view. In this case I analyze the movie Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. For this I chose one scene. It is when the Captain Mandrake is in the office of General Rippert. In this scene the General Rippert is talking to the Captain about the nuclear bombs. In this scene we can see the power of light. The light is focused in the General Rippert. The light is low key lighting and hard key light that is coming from the top. The director can show to us important things that have the General. For example his face, shows his bad thoughts, and his sense of victory. Other thing that highlights is his cigar that shows his power. The angle that they are is in a low angle position, because they are very close. And finally the moving of camera is a pan shot because the camera is moving horizontally.
